Hi Wayne,
A bit more about this same man....
The Maitland Mercury & Hunter River General Advertiser, Wednesday 22 June 1853.
Lost Son Found.
I BEG to offer my heartfelt THANKS to all who so voluntarily prosecuted the search unceasingly of my son Lambert, and particularly to a person unknown, supposed to reside on Brooks's Flat, for his hospitality to him, who having endured three days' privations, and three nights less comfortable, who on the fourth day met with him, and for his loving kindness in carrying bim across to the Wollombi Road on horseback on the fifth day, yesterday, from whence he returned to his own quarters, apparently little the worse for his excursion.
CHARLES WOODWARD.
Glenarvon, June 21.
Death a few years later of Lambert.
