I would like to hear from any one who is researching this tree. Charles was born in Middlesex in 1839. Elizabeth(1844-1932)arrived in Sydney in 1852 with her parents, Peter and Deborah SHANKLIE and brother Samuel(1846) She married Charles in Melbourne in 1861 and spent the rest of her life in New South Wales as hotel licensees. She is buried in Rookwood Cemetery, Sydney. She began a de-facto relationship with my g-g-grandfather sometime in the early 1870's and had 5 children but never re-married. I think Charles returned to London as I can find a marriage 1877 and new family and a death in 1895. I would be greatful for any information as I may then be able to trace the SHANKLIE family who seem to have disappeared.
