Migration from Tasmania to Sydney around 1840

Classification: Query
How do I find further records for a Joseph Dunn, transported to Tasmania in 1826 for 7 years, but not released till 1836. I have his convict records. He has a daughter Esther in 1834 with an Elizabeth (unknown)--possibly also a convict. The little girl was baptised in 1836 in Hobart and the notation that she was the daughter of Joseph & Elizabeth Dunn is there also, and I have found this record. However, after that I cannot find any record in Tasmania of any of these three. Then it looks like the same Joseph Dunn may have joined his two ex-convict brothers (Nicodemus and Charles) in Sydney around or soon after 1840, and has had children to an Ann there. Where can I find definite records of him coming from Tasmania to Sydney, and where can I look for what has happened to the Elizabeth and the little girl Esther in Tasmania. I will be grateful for help and/or suggestions.
