Hiyas,
Not exactly sure what has already been posted but will post just incase.
In 1881 census Robert BYE is living with Charles TEA, that was witness on the marriage.
Charles TEA would have been Robert's cousin as he was Joyce TEA's nephew.
The other witness Mary Ann BELLINGER was Roberts sister Mary Ann BYE who married William BELLINGER in 1875.
Both Robert and Emily appear to be Assisted Passengers which means they would have applied and been accepted long BEFORE they married as they married just one month before immigration.
This explains their arrival being in their separate names, rather than delaying the trip and reapplying as a married couple.
It might even explain how they met.
The death 1936 appears to be the right man but I'm not sure any of the children's birth certs would PROVE the death is the right man.
Even if a childs birth cert states that Robert was born in England we have no way to match that 100% to the guy who died in 1936.
Maybe the 1936 death cert would name his children or give some clue.
