Mette Marie Frandsen and Carl Andersen were also my GGrandparents. I can't find my info on them right now, but will give you what I have off the top of my head.
Mette was born 10/20/1881 in Skanderbord, Denmark. She immigrated to the Unites States on 10/20/1904 (her 23rd birthday). Carl Andersen immigrated with her. He was born 7/3/1881 in Odense, Denmark. They are listed on the Hellig Olav (means: Hello King)ship manifest. They then moved to Racine, where they married on 3/5/1905, and remained there until they died in 1964 & 1965 respectively. They had 7 children: Christian, August (Augie), Emma, Hulda, Carl, Alfred and Harold. Carl is my grandfather. Her parents names were Anton Frandsen & Fraderikke Nielsen. To the best of my knowledge, her mother never left Denmark, but have no info on her in Denmark. Word is that her father came here several years prior to her arrival, but no info on him either. Her brother Anton, arrived w/in 2 years after her and enlisted in the Army during WWI. He married a woman named Harriet and they lived in Northern California. They never had any children, and Anton died there 10/1969. He was born in Denmark on 10/24/1883. Hope this helps you out. If you have any other questions, please email me.
