I collected some data on the Boivin/Drinkwine line and have been assembling it in an ACOM public member tree I use for French Canadian research.

This link will take you to the profile of George Drinkwine (Boivin) b 1826 - d 1914. I found an entry in the (1917) Fond du lac City Directory citing his death as 14 Dec 1914.

http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/29249304/person/26200789415

His wife, Amelia (Emelie/Emily) "Melia" Meneque (Meneky/Meneke(e), b 1830 , was a descendant of John Meneky (grandfather) who appears to have immigrated to Canada from England. John Meneke and Marie Poulin (paternal grandparents of Amelia Meneky) were married in the Anglican Church in 1785, however their children were baped in the Catholic Church. This implies John Meneky (English) was Anglican and his wife, Marie Poulin (French Canadian) was Catholic. The father of Amelia (b 1830), Jean/John Meneky was born in 1786, and baped in Montreal (Basilique-Notre-Dame).

In regard to the Boivin/Drinkwine line, George Drinkwater (b 1826) was one of at least 10 children of Antoine Boivin (b 1772- d 1849) and Felicite Audet dite Lapointe (b abt 1801-d_). I've only tracked George (b 1826) and his brother, Antoine (b 1821) so far. Antoine, like George, immigrated and resided in Fond du lac, Wisconsin.

This is a fairly large (but not atypical for the period) line to untangle.

All this data and linked sourcing is in the research tree.
