Selah E. Booth was son of Selah Booth and the 2nd of his 3 wives who was Sophie Fuller who was reputed to be a descendant of the Mayflower Dr. Sam Fuller...Selah Sr. was the son of Joseph Booth and Elizabeth Francis and it is said Selah was named after Elizabeth's brother, Selah.
Selah Sr. 1st wife was Sophie's sister Ora whom he married about 1811 in Davenport, Delaware Co, NY. He had 3 children by Ora, Sherman Miller Booth [famous abolutionist, Yale grad who moved to WI in 1848, as a widower[had married
Margaret Tufts in 1842] and m. 1849 to Mary Humphry Corse].Mary's cousin, Aurelia Corse m. the Gov of WI Leonard Farwell in 1852. See Booths Ripon War under Google...Edward b. 1815, then Silas. With Sophie, Selah had 7 more children...Selah Jr. said to have moved to KS, Cyrus, Charlotte, Abigail, Mary, Julia, Aurelia.
Selah and his brother Jessie moved to WI in 1848 along with son Sherman Miller . Jessie became warden of the new WI state prison in Waupun, Selah was a widower himself, and remarried 3rd time to Harriet Metcalf said to be his first true love.

I see from the Iowa US census 1870 that Selah Booth age 45 m. Jane H. age 35[born in England] and they had 5 children listed in Clarke Co. Greenburg Twp, Smyrna P.O. Walter age 15, Selah T. 13 [Deaf Mute], Julia M. 11, Edward 6, and a maid Tell/Fell Erna age 30 born in England .
