Thank you Erin and Vince!
Yes, that is the correct date of death I had obtained. I began to question it after I had went to check into it futher. I had went to the Wisconsin Historical Society website,
www.wisconsinhistory.org, and found this...
Ellsworth, Georgiana (1850 - 1922)
Record # 26882
Location: Oshkosh
Title: Wisconsin Necrology, vol. 20, page(s) 227
Source Type: Obituary
Portrait: No
Author:
Published: Notes:
I began to question the birth year and wondered if this was a different woman with the same name as Fred Weston ELLSWORTH’S wife. The birth indicated above is 1950, although it is said that Georgiana was born 20 Oct 1876 or at least in 1876. This location is Oshkosh. Where is that?
I had wondered exactly what you thought Erin on the finding with the age and parents' birth places. I have noticed at times that elders and those who are illiterated have indicated something different on their ages and birth places. It helps a lot having you confirm those thoughts! I should definitely add the "ages" and "parent's birth places" on every census I find! Thank you!!!!
If this is the Wisconsin Historical Society you are referring to that is, I assume, in Dane County, it would be wonderful if you could look it up! Also Fred Weston ELLSWORTH (b. 31 Dec 1872 Mazomanie, Dane County, WI and d. 10 May 1933 Avoca, Iowa County, WI). Sure appreciate it!
Vince - I've removed "Louise" as Georgiana's middle name, though she does have an "L" there. (That was another wild assumption for the 1930 census. ;-) )
Thanks so much!!!!
