I have contacted Droop Mountain Park. They used to have a ledger showing all soldiers exhumed and moved to the National Cemetery but can no longer find it. I have a letter from Capt. Marsh notifing John's wife, Louisa that John was shot a the battle of Droop Mountain and that he died Nov 14 in Hillsboro.
