Thomas O’Brien was born 24 Nov 1839 in Miltown Malbay, County Clare, Ireland to John O’Brien and Catherine Curtin. Thomas moved to Wigan, Lancashire, England married Margaret Farrell and they immigrated to Fall River, Bristol, MA around 1871 to worked in the textile industry.

Thomas O’Brien died in Falls River, Bristol, MA 7 May 1900. Thomas married Margaret Farrell in 1869 and had the following children: John 1870, Catherine O’Brien 1873, Michael O’Brien 1874, Thomas O’Brien 1878, Grace O’Brien 1879-1919, William O’Brien 1881, Margaret O’Brien 1883-1937, Patrick O’Brien 1885-1971, James O’Brien 1887-1968, Joseph F. O’Brien 1889-1968, Elizabeth O’Brien 1893-1893.

Margaret O’Brien b 1883 married Robert Fitzgerald. Patrick Henry O’Brien b 1885 married Elizabeth Gibbons and lived in Booklyn, NY and Joseph Farrell O’Brien b 1889 married Lena Plante
