I am not absolutely certain about this, but in answer to questions about Luke, and Michael Bowyer, Sr., the father of Luke from the facts that I have gathered, Michael Bowyer, Sr. died 5/22/1761. Luke was born 1745., so he would have been @ 16 years old when his father died, and Luke's brother, John was appointed guardian for him. I have notes that state that Luke died before 1776 - killed while fighting Indians at the Battle of Long Bridge, VA. Luke was an attorney in the law firm with Patrick Henry, and married the sister of Patrick Henry, Mary Jane Henry...they did not have any children. Mary Jane Henry was also married another time...I believe after her marriage to Luke Bowyer.
