There is a man named Leonard Turnbull. Leonard found an Adenstone Rogers in 1756 in NC on a deed record. He assumed that a later widow named Mrs. Catherine Denston Rogers was his widow. They had at least 2 issue--Elizabeth Denston Rogers and Thomas Denston Rogers per Elizabeth's marriage record in NC. These people are all from NC.

Leonard decided for unknown reasons to mix and match this NC family with our Rogers family in York Co. VA. The DNA and documents for our Rogers family prove that Adduston Rogers who died in 1747 in Goochland Co. VA was married to Catherine Doswell Rogers who is listed in Goochland Co.. court records. Both of them dying in VA. They are the biological parents of Doswell Rogers b. 1736 in York Co. VA as proved by DNA testing last year.
