I'm curious about your family going from Ohio to Wisconsin and on to Iowa. I've found my Hunnicutts in Ohio and Iowa, but they seem to have disappeared between 1840 Ohio and 1860 Iowa. Where in Wisconsin was your family, and when?

This is what I have: Thomas Hunnicutt, b 1794 in Surry Co. Virginia (Later Prince George Co.) Moved to Belmont Co. Ohio in 1806/7. Married Mary Sinclair in 1819. Children born in Belmont County were Wilson Hunnicutt and James Sinclair Hunnicutt, perhaps more. Lived in Athens County Ohio in 1840.

James Sinclair Hunnicutt and Thomas show up again in Tama, Iowa in 1860 and from that point I'm on very solid ground, as I have family records and newspaper obituaries for James Sinclair Hunnicutt and some of his children. Happy to share if of any interest to you.
