Sampson Pope & Nancy Lawrence were Jane Elizabeth's parents. I descend from her & Mills, through their son, James Jordan Gray.

So far I have 2 other children for Sampson & Nancy:

Lawrence Pope
Patience A. Pope

I think there are at least 3 - 5 more, but have not confirmed it.

This family is one of my harder ones to figure out. Sampson Pope's father was Isaac Pope whom died in 1814. I do not yet have the name of Sampson's mother, but these are other children listed in Isaac's Will.
