Sam Milwee married first to Addie Smith, 1 daughter Lurla Catherine, born in Hagan. She married Robert DeBusk. Addie died, then he married Martha Barber. They had 8 children, including my ggrandmother. I have Sam's parents as Samuel G. (Coon) Milwee and Mary Ann 'Polly' Sprouse. There is a family 'story' that says that the Milwee's came from NC because Sam G. (or his father) was involved somehow 'in a killing up in NC'. It is also said that they changed their surname from Lyle or Lyles to Milwee after relocating to Lee County. Have NO idea how much of this is true!
