I descend from this same Cornelius Dabney-Charles Dabney thru Charles' younger son James, would appreciate any additional data or the location where it can be found. I have accumulated much data but still have many gaps. Cornelius the son of Charles and Elizabeth would be my ggg uncle. He and his brother Thomas and their father settled in Campbell Co., TN around 1813. The early land records have apparently been destroyed as the earliest land record I can find is around 1823. The earliest known record of Charles Dabney in Campbell Co is a court record in March 1816 where he was summoned to serve on jury, he served on that jury in June 1816.
