I am a descendant also of Almon Guinn and Newraney Mullins and have gotten about five ancestry.com dna matches to Almon or his father Bartlett and several more up the Mullins line. (Sharon, we exchanged messages awhile ago when i was puzzling over the fact that there seemed to be two David D. Mullins floating around VA in the revolutionary war period).

I highly recomend the test although because of the random nature of autosomal dna, not all descendents will match but they are likely to match some of the same people. So although Andy i haven't seen you in my Guinn matches, Sharon might match to either or both of us...if you want to communicate off line, i can send you names of those i have matched and we can see if there is any overlap.
