William North married Polly Ray
William North married Polly Callaway
I think that another William North in the 1600s may have married a Mary Callaway! But these 2 above are father and son as far as I can find out. The dates are right. As far as I can tell, there are 3 Williams in a row in this line:
Abraham North of Bedford Va. married Susannah (Evans?)
son:
(1) William North married Polly Callaway June 8,1781
Grandson:
(2) William North married Polly Ray July 4,1805
Greatgrandson:
(3) William Robert North married Elizabeth Sey Aug. 10,1835
I have proof of all 3 marriages. My problem is wills to connect any children of the above Williams or death cert. of any of them.
I have seen trees with Polly Callaway with 3 sons and 2 sons and truthfully I think she only had 1 son William (by William) because only 1 grandson was mentioned in Abraham's will. She had 9 more kids by another man after husband William died as far as I can tell! If we could find a will we would know for sure.
