Smiths from Mississippi to Texas Polk and Trinity Counties

I am trying to find info on James Smith & wife Josephine; both born in Mississippi. They appeared on the Trinity county, Tx census for 1870, along with son John James, age 1. They also had Missouri Ann, born 1871 and Lucinda, born 1874. John married at least twice (once to a Thornton); Missouri Ann married a M.F. Rogers in Polk County. Lucinda married Angus Jefferson Lewis in, I believe 1902 in Polk County. She died in 1936 in Houston, Tx. Her birth cert. lists her father as Jim/James Smith. Josephine married a Mr. Tullos in 1875 then later to a Mr. Green. Missouri Ann Rogers death cert. is in Beaumont, Jefferson Co.; she died in 1959 from drowning in a canal. Lucinda Smith Lewis died in 1936 and is buried in Polk county. Josephine is buried in Stryker Cemetery in Polk County. John was murdered in Corrigan, Polk County in 1914. I would like to know where James & Josephine married, when James died, did he & Josephine divorce or did he die after Lucinda was born. Lucinda was my husbands grandmother. Would appreciate any help.
