WJD Pierpont was born in Ohio 8 DEC 1844. He married Martha Buchanan. they had several children:

II. Laura Pierpont b. ABT. 1864 TX
III. Agnes Pierpont b. ABT. 1871 TX
IV. Maude Pink Pierpont b. 20 Apr 1875 TX
v. Louisa Virginia Lula Peirpont b. 1877 TX
Maude or "Pink" as she was called, because she was a "toehead" blonde was my (John Fowler) husband's greatgrandmother. I have pics of here and the family. Supposedly they are related to the Pierponts as in John Pierpont Morgan. William John Davis (WJD) Pierpont and Martha lived in Gonzales, Texas.
