I see that this message was posted some years ago, but I am also seeking any records or information relating to the Fort Worth Benevolent Home, which was established by Mrs. Belle Burchill. My late grandmother believed that she could have been adopted through the auspices of this orphanage, in 1907. Her adoption record of 1910 states that she was "received from Rev. Davis of Fort Worth," and also provides her birth-name. There is no record of her having been placed by the Rev. I. Z. T. Morris in the files of the Edna Gladney Center.
