This is about your JOHN MORRIS CHAPMAN'S, brother, WM. H. CHAPMAN and FRANCIS M. BRADFORD, whom I belive to be first born child of EDA J. CHAPMAN & ADAM BRADFORD. Eda was the first born child of JAMES MARION CHAPMAN & CELINDA JANE STEWART. The Bradford &Chapman families were in Llano County, Honey Creek Cove area by early 1853.
There are two graves beside Llano Cnty Rd 308. Not in a cemetery and in the Honey Creek Cove area which is in prct 3 Llano Co census. Both have very old stones. one reads FRANCIS M. BRADFORD, b.Dec 2, 1852, d. July 6, 1858 and the other reads WM. H. CHAPMAN, b. April 29, 1846. d. May 3. 1859. I believe Francis M. Bradford is the grandson of James M. Bradford and Celinda J. Stewart and it is well documented that Wm. H. Chapman is their son.
Just after Francis M. Bradford died on July 6, 1858, Eda Chapman Bradford'smother Celinda Stewart Chapman gave birth to a child she named Adam Bradford Chapman on Dec 16,1858 and prior to that on Aug 5, 1855 Celinda had a child named Francis Marion Chapman. On April 9, 1858 just before Francis M. Bradford died, Eda Chapman Bradford gave birth to child she named William M. Bradford. The parents, daughter and son in law seemed very close naming children after each other, ect. They all left Llano County and traveled to Menard County, TX where Eda Chapman Bradford died in 1894 and it appears Adam Bradford married again to a ANNIE unknow last name ahd had two more children before he died there in 1904.
