Robert Martin AUTREY came to Bowie Co. in the mid 1800's, as did some of his siblings, Cornelius Autrey (went to Coryell Co), Bird Griffin Autrey, as well as a couple of others. Robert Martin Autrey married first wife and had a family. His first wife died and he married the second time and had another family. His first wife is buried in Antiock Cemetery, Robert Martin and his second wife were buried in Maud, Tx. He has hundreds of descendants still living in the Bowie County area.
