I think Ada Gardner's father was Daniel W. Gardner, his name was either Daniel Washington Gardner or Daniel Webster Gardner. He was born in 1847, he was the son of Lewis Gardner and Martha Sikes who went threw a bitter divorce in 1863, Lewis Gardner and his two sons Wylie Jackson Gardner and Ada's father Daniel W. Gardner moved to Texas. Lewis Gardner died in Dallas or Johnson County, Texas about 1880. Daniel W. Gardner married Queen Ann Graham and then he married Regina Graham, Daniel died in Bosque County, Texas. Wylie Jackson Gardner fought in the Civil War in the 2nd Mississippi Cavalry, at the Battle of Nashville and at Selma, Alabama in 1865, he moved to Texas and became a Dallas County commissioner and master of the Masonic Lodge. He died in Garland, Texas in 1924.
