I have a Sarah E. Cowan B 4 Oct 1840 in Franklin County, Tn and died between 1845 and 1892 in Tn. I do not know where she is buried. Do you know if she might be a sister to your David? She married Thomas A. Lewis and was the mother of my great grandmother, Eliza Jane Lewis who married John Wesley (Jackie) Patterson.
