Joel Sullivan, b. ca 1786 in Rowan Co., NC reportedly died in Toone, Hardeman CO., TN. Joel is brother to my Smith Sullivan, b. 8 Nov 1782, Rowan Co., NC; md. Sarah -- ca 1806, prob. in Rowan or Davidson Co., NC; d. bef 4 Oct 1823 in Liberty, Union Co., NC. Siblings of Smith and Joel are: Sarah, William, Luvina, Daniel, Mary, Eleanor, John S., and Esther (md. Mr. Reichard). Believe their parents were William Sullivan, b. ca 1760 (poss in MD) and Eleanor (poss. Smith, b. April 1763, location unk.) William d. 1838 in Davidson Co., NC; Eleanor d. 22 Nov. 1836, also Davidson Co., NC. Will be glad to share what I have - would like to find more info on William & Eleanor, and on Smith's wife Sarah...thanks!
