Just had to write a note. Warrensburg is one of the oldest communities in Greene County. It is located in the southwestern part of the community on the Nolichucky River, near the line of Cocks and Hamblen.I have the history of the area and a drawing of what it used to be. Must have come from the Library at Greenville. There are a lot of families mentioned in these papers.
We were fortunate to get to visit there and the Methodist Church organized in early 1800's.Many of my Scruggs family are buried in the cemetery behind it.Also an original Scruggs home sits on the Nolichucky River.
Plus I believe the Bible Bridge is on the way there, which is a covered bridge . Wonderful history in that area and they were fortunate the records weren't burned so the last Historian of Greenville told me .
