I have a lot of info on Etta's family, limited on her parents but a lot on her brother David "Cap" Latlip, founder of the Latlip Family Circus. Finally found Etta yesterday after finding the 1900 Waterville census for her parents and getting her approx birth year. Then found her in NY. I have family obits that placed her in Brooklyn. Her brother was quite famous in his day, held the world record for high diving act, was advertised often in "Billboard Magazine". His daughters were singers with the USO and circus performers. His wife Marion and her brother Frank Hoyle (Haell) were also high divers/performers. I have some great stuff, articles, pics, obituaries. I am an ancestor of Latulippe's from Waterville, ME and while researching them, I found lots of stuff on "Cap" as he was called. (David Lewis Latlip) I have copies of the death certificates for him and his brother Fred and Cap's wife Marion, and their daughter Rita. Rita died in a tragic head on collision with a truck in Ironton, Ohio as well as other obits, pics. I figure he is most likely related to my Latulippe's although I haven't figured out how yet. Etta's parents were Joseph and Lucie/Lucy Giroux or as Cap's death cert says Juirs. I may be able to find more now that I found this stuff yesterday.
