"Tacoma, Wash. — The Ted Stanga family of Mitchell, S.D., whose German shepherd dog joined the Air Force, can rest assured he's a credit to the service and his former owners. The Air Force confirmed this Friday after tracing Wolf, the former Stanga pet, across the country. Mrs. Stanga , wondering how Wolf was making out in the Air Force, wrote Brookley Air Force Base at Mobile. It took a little time to find Wolf, since his $150 purchase was only one of 60,559 contracts handled by Brookley the past fiscal year."
