I find that the head of the household on the 1900 York Co., SC census is an older Samuel Noah Johnson, age 43. The younger Samuel is listed as his 17 years old son. Sam 27 is also listed in 1910 as son of S N 55.

What information do you have to indicate that the Sam N, 43 on the 1900 census, was a Jr.? I have census records for his mother, Eliza for 1850,1860,1870,1880 and 1900, but have been unable to find his father's name.

I have information on other descendants of Eliza and would like to compare notes on them.
