Does your Alfred Edward Thomas have anyone (a brother?) in the family that could possibly fit the description of D. Thomas born circa 1835 as described in my original post? Unfortunately ALL our information on this line was in the original post so anything you can add to it is appreciated. But maybe they were brothers or cousins?
