April; In addition to your response to my posting, I saw your posting to SCRoots. Your grandmother, Bertha, is one of my mother's half sisters. Your grandmother's mother is Maggie Senn, John Asmond's first wife. My mother's mother is Hattie Cleo Spires. All three, John and his two wives are buried at Old Bethel Methodist Church in Edmund, SC (Lexington County) as well as Mom's brother, Homer, his first wife and one son that I know of. Cedecia is the spelling on the gravestone and one given to me by another researcher. Do you have any idea, or hunch, as to the name of John Asmond's father's (John Wesley Wise) parents?
