Careful - you're talking about my great-grandmother! :) Indeed, the John A. 'Sharp' in the 1880 census is John A. Wise - my grandfather, who is buried at Old Bethel along side of BOTH of his wives, Maggie and Hattie. Also, note wife Mary's age (52) - I think too old to have given birth to 5- and 4-year old boys who, by the way, bear the names of my grandfather's brothers; However, if I remember correctly, she's about the right age to be Cedecia's mother!! I've heard on several occasions that ole J.W. kept a harem --- Also believe he was married to a lady, Nancy later (not sure if he and Cedecia were "formally" married. If anybody out there has proof, I would love to see it. Would also like to learn about daughter, Mary (10 yrs at time of 1880 census); J.W.'s parentage, and anything at all about his wife, wives or women.
