Good evening. I am researching William B. Free also. However, the one that I have has a different father as yours. Mine says that his fathers name was David. I have his muster rolls from the Civil War. The William that I have also had several sons one named John Thomas Free who had Roy Thomas Free (buried in Deer Park,TX), John B. Free(from Sweeny, Tx Passed away in 1990?) and I believe an Otto ( in El Paso, Tx). My William was married to Elizabeth Fox and his parents seem to be David and Martha Stovall. I am stuck at David. If you have any info on these Free's please feel free to contact me. Good luck on your search. Oh they did move to Texas William b is buried in prairie Lea cemetery in Brenham, TX (I believe) and his son John Thomas in buried in Hempstead, TX. I hope that this might help you and in turn maybe help me out a little. My William matches up almost perfect and then my whole search goes wrong.
