Stephen (S?) BLOCKER b-03 Dec 1806 Edgefield/Colleton Dist SC;d-15 Oct 1887 Bluffton, Clay Co Ga. Parents:???(John BLOCKER?) Marr: 25 Feb 1830 Colleton Dist, St. Bartholomew Parish, SC, to Rebecca Caroline RICE ( b-15 Aug 1814 Colleton SC; d-15 Feb 1886 Bluffton,Ga. Is she str of Dr. Richard RICE?? Her Parents????)
Some people have listed a Rebecca ROBERTSON as this Stephen BLOCKER's wife, but there were several Stephen B.'s...This fam moved to GA abt 1836.
Stephen BLOCKER & Rebecca Caroline RICE's known Children:
1`) Emily/Emeline Rice BLOCKER b 06 Jan 1831 Colleton SC- d 1916 Al. marr: 1846 Early Co Ga to Josiah G. JONES ; 2) Susannah Rebecca b1833- d 1880 Ga; 3) Caroline b-??; 4) John Elisha b1838 Ga-d 1879 Ga; 5) Martha Sophia b 1842 Ga- d 1908 Al. Many of this fam are buried in Bluffton, Ga in the BLOCKER-GEER Cem, on Stephen BLOCKER's old plantation land. The GEER fam is related to Rebecca Caroline RICE BLOCKER somehow.
