The last name I found was PEGUE, listed on her son John GILLESPIE’s death certificate. He moved to Robeson County, North Carolina, between 1900 and 1910 according to the census. From various documents, I have him living in Saint Paul’s Township, Lumber Bridge, and Parkton, where he died. At some point he also lived in in Stonewall Bridge, Hoke County.
I just started research on this line a couple of weeks ago and have not done anything beyond a few internet searches. South Carolina is a new area of research so any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your suggestions. I will certainly follow through on them.
