MCCONNELSVILLE: Richard F. Malisher, 89, of McConnelsville, Ohio passed away at 3:11 p.m. August 3, 2015 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH.

He was born August 2, 1926 in Arnold, PA the son of the late Joseph Malisher and Rose Killian Malisher.
He was a Army Veteran of WWII. Graduate of University of Pittsburgh
He was a mining engineer for Central Ohio Coal Co. and Chesterhill Stone.
He was a member of the St. James Catholic Church in McConnelsville, American Legion Post 24, VFW Post in Malta. Graduate of University of Pittsburg. Member of DAV and was past president of the Ohio Aggregates Association.

He is survived by his wife, M. Joyce Price Malisher whom he married June 6, 1953; daughters, Debra (John) Korting of Upper Arlington, Ohio, Lisa (Dean)Wilson of Roseville, Ohio, Michelle (Don) French of Lancaster, OH and Mary Malisher of Waverly, OH; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Warren J. Malisher.

Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday at St. James Catholic Church in McConnelsville.
Burial will be in McConnelsville Cemetery (Morgan County) with military rites by American Legion Post 24 honor guard.
