It's been several years since your original post, so I hope you see this message. My 3rd great-grandmother, Catherine Burns McGuire and her husband Dennis McGuire emigrated from Ireland to Schuylkill County before December 16, 1843, when their twins Margaret and Patrick were born. I'm not sure whether Catherine emigrated with, before, or after her husband and children Rosanna (born about 1835-1836 in Ireland) and Condy/Conley/Cornelius (born about 1837-1841, probably 1840-1841 according to his Civil War records).

I'm trying to contact others whose Burns and McGuire families emigrated to Schuylkill County during this time in an attempt to determine where they lived in Ireland. Please let me know whether you've found any other information on your Burns family. Any other interested persons are welcome to respond as well. Other names on their children's 1843 baptismal record from St. Patrick's in Pottsville include Patrick McCloskey, Bridget Brennan, Patrick Harrigan, and Sarah Gilaspy.
