Yes, Holy Cross is very pleasant and helpful, as are a number of other cemeteries. Didn't say they weren't. It's the computer that I disdain because of the examples I laid out. I'd rather see a mistake in an entry by the original person and then try to figure it out into the grand scheme of things than to try to fit an computer errant date into where it doesn't want to go. The old saying "garbage in, garbage out" seems appropriate to what I was alluding to.

As to your remark about using email. Tried that at Holy Cross with negative results. Different person at the counter I guess. My cousin has had some luck requesting via fax, but then again it probably depends on the attitude of the recipient.
