Were your Hillmans Germans who sided with the Connecticut faction?
Do you have any details about your family's Wyoming Valley years from 1769 up to the Battle of Wyoming in 1778? For instance, were they in Forty Fort during the battle or in Ft. Wilkes Barre instead? We may just have a connection here.
