My husband has a connection to an earlier Reed line that had roots (c. 1716) in Chester Co., PA, then moved to Mifflin Co., PA, where Rosanna (Rosey) Reed married James Alexander -- another family who came from Chester Co., PA.

I don't have much on this Reed line, but here are the generations that connect to him:

1.Robert REED born ca 1715 in probably Chester Co., PA; spouse Elizabeth Gardiner; he died c. 1772

2. Rosanna (Rosey) REED born ca 1730-1735 married James ALEXANDER ca 1762. Lived in Union, Armagh Twp., Mifflin Co., PA. Had many children.

3. Robert ALEXANDER BORN Oct 1766 married Elizabeth McCLURE.
My husband is related to the McClures.

I think the history books of MIfflin Co., PA, have information on Reed and Alexander families.
