Here's my transcription of George Bowers' will:
This last Will and Testament of George Bowers of Green Township Indiana County (unreadable). In the name of God, I George Bowers considering the uncertainty of this Mortal life and of sound Mind and Memory blessed be Almity God for the same do make and publish this my last Will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say first, (unreadable) my debts is paid Together with my funeral expence out of my personal property. First I give and bequeathunto my two grand sons, That is to say, Son Henry and son John's sons, the Land I now hold by improvement. To be equally divided between them, that is to son Henry's son George and son John's son George Their House and assigns all That Marriage or testament situate lying and being in Green Township and County aforesaid, Together with all my other Freehold Estate whatsoever, to hold to them the sad George and George Bowers their heirs and assigns forever and Lastly as to all the rest residue and remainder of my personal estate goods and cattle of what kind and nature soever is to be sold at publick vendue (?) and the money that arrises from the sale is to be divided equally share and share alike exceptmy son Joseph he is only to have one dollar that is to be his share, all the rest of my children is to get eaquel shares. - I hearby appoint Peter Longemaker my Executor of this my last Will and testament hearby revoking all former wills by me made, In Witness whearoff I have hearunto set my hand seal this fourteenth day of December in the year of Our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and Forety six George (his x smark) Bowers.
