My ggggrandmother was Catherine A. Foster, b. 22 Sep 1813, d 10 May 1912 in Columbus, Indiana. Her obituary states that her father John Foster was a Revolutionary War soldier. She married Jonathan Jarman Brooks in 1834 and lived in Philadelphia before moving to Bartholomew Co. Indiana in 1859.

I looked at the Revolutionary War Pension Records and found one, S. 23687, executed Feb 15, 1833. It states that the said John Foster was a native of Lancaster Co. Pennsylvania and lived a few years in Mifflin Co. and then moved to Franklin Township, Huntingdon Co. PA

Census data for 1790 through 1830 does show John Foster with young children in his household at various times. His request for a pension was made in 1832 when he was 76.

Can anyone confirm that he had a daughter, Catherine, born in 1813? Any other information always helpful.
