I found my grandfather's (J.R. Davis) birth record in the Elk Co. PA courthouse in Ridgway. He was born August 6, 1905 in Hartman,PA. Hartman is now Lake City. His father is listed as Claud Davis and mother Sarah Davis. This is Sarah C. Kennedy.

Also found Sarah's father's (John Murdick Kennedy) obituary stating he died in May of 1903. Sarah was unmarried at the time. I am thinking she and Claud were married between 1903 and 1904.

If anyone can help me find out who Claud Davis was, I would be grateful.
