Among the recent deaths of Beaver township is that of Mr. Stanley Kline, which occurred on the evening of January 10. 1907, at San Antonio, Texas, whither he had gone more than two years ago for the benefit of his health, which was in a precarious condiditon. The cause of his death was spinal meningitis. His demise was unexpected and a terrible shock to his friends. None of them could reach his bedside in time to hear his farewells, altho' his father, W. J. Kline, and father-in-law, John Rowe, started as soon word of danger was received. The "friend that sticketh closer than a brother" and the Heavenly Father in whom he trusted were with him, according to their promise: "I will never leave thee." Mr. Kline was only a little more than 31 years of age. He leaves his wife and three children, father and mother, who have the deepest sympathy of all. The funeral serivces were held at St. Paul's Lutheran church, in which he had early in life been baptized and confirmed and had remained faithful and consistent member, setting a noble example. His pastor, Rev. E.G. Lund, D.D., preached the funeral sermon. Truly, the memory of the just is blessed. "To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die."
