Dear Sue -
I have run across the name Delithea before, as the first name for a daughter of a Quaker family in Virginia. I can't find the details, but I was researching the name 'Hunnicutt' at the time. Some other surnames were Bailey, Newby.
Sorry I can't be more helpful, but this was a dead end for me. I think it may be a Bible name, a variation of Delilah.
My Virginia Quaker Hunnicutt & Baily families also migrated to Ohio, so there may be a connection unsuspected as yet.
Good luck,
Laura
