Thanks for the information. Johan Georg Harter has been confused by many with your Johannes Harter, but they are different persons. So far as I have been able to determine any relation of Georg to Andraes would have to be in Germany. I believe Johan Georg Harter to have arrived Philadelphia aboard the Phoenix in 1749. I found a record of his marriage to Eva Bracker in Lehigh County, 26 October 1752. With exception of the possible Tulpehocken reference noted, the next definite record of him was his and Eva's 1769 appearance with children in the Fredrick County, MD church records. The family was definitely in Fredrick/Montgomery County, MD until moving to Franklin County, Virginia about 1792.
