Aaron and Loretta were married 3 September 1857, as per the Bedford Gazette dated 11 September 1857. I was aware of the census info, as that's about all I have for them.

What is your proof that Eugene and Walter were the same person? I've seen several occassions where the census information had ages incorrect, so the reason I said that I wasn't sure, is because it's possible that Walter was born in 1858, 59 or 60, and that Eugene could have been born in 1860, 61 or 62, or even later. The census can give you quite a bit of informaiton, but its not always so accurate. For example, in the 1880 census, Mary Ann Bierly is in the household with Samuel Barclay (and some children, as well as Sarah Bierly), and she is listed as his sister. She actually was his mother.

Aaron was signed up for the Civil War, but there is no record of him having served.
