I am attempting to verify the children of William Armstrong and Barbara Pittman that possibly resided in Ayr township area of what is now Fulton Co. I believe they married in 1816 and had several children. William died in 1835 and Barbara and children relocated to Whiteside Co, Illinois with some of her siblings sometime in the 1840s.

I am particularly interested in verifying if my ggg-grandmother Rebecca Armstrong (1825-1876) is their daughter. She married Porter J. Harmon in Whiteside Co in 1849, and in the 1850 census lives three households from Barbara and other children.
