Died yesterday,at home on Clay St. Born 9-27-1801 at Geisa saxe-Weimer Germany, student of jurisprudence at University of Jena, came to this country in 1832, had a farm at Freeport with fellow students, but was unsuccessful and located to this city. In 1834 was appointed to a position in the post office which he held continuously for 38 years. He leaves a wife and 6 children.
